With college literally JUST around the corner, if you haven’t gone in to stock up on dorm room or apartment supplies, it’s probably time to get in gear! College classes start for a lot of the schools around my area in just a week from today. Doesn’t it seem crazy that summer is almost over? I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet!
Target, as always, has a ton of amazing dorm or apartment gear from big furniture items like futons (pictured above) to small school supplies like pens, highlighters, post-it notes, and so much more. They have EVERYTHING to furnish an entire place and it is definitely worth it to check out before the big move-in day to school.
Give that grad a great gift to get them going for this new journey. They will appreciate it!
People always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I believe it! There have been several mornings where I don’t have time to get the adequate breakfast I need and just end up skipping it. Those are the kind of days where I feel tired, worn out and ready for a nap by about 1:30 in the afternoon!
I can’t help but notice that our town seemed to have blown up overnight last week. All of the college kids moved back for the school year to start. Classes start on Monday already! Where did summer go? My sister was included in this bunch. She moved away to college last week and it was kind of sad to see her go!
I got her a little gift for her apartment. I found this really nice KitchenAid Black Two-Slice toaster and knew that she would get a lot of use out of it. She can use it to make her breakfast in the morning before she heads off to classes for the day!
Can you believe that August is already here? The months of June and July have flown by! This month, many new high school grads will be heading to college for the first time. If you want to send a new college student off to school with a gift that is useful, make them a gift basket.
Gift baskets are my favorite gift to give. I love them because they can be personalized and share a common theme. They are fun to make and it is very easy to add your own personal touch to a gift basket.
For a college student gift basket, I would start with a laundry basket. It is used to hold the rest of the gifts together and they can use the laundry basket for their dirty clothes. You can line the bottom with bath towels and add anything that you think a college student would use: quarters for the coin-laundry machines, a few easy-to make foods (Ramen Noodles, Spaghetti-O’s, cereal, etc), some school supplies (pens, erasers, paper clips, highlighters, etc), a shower caddy to keep the shower accessories organized, and whatever else you can think of!
