I know that it’s only July, but I started making my Christmas list the other day. When it comes to the holiday and people ask me what I would like as a gift, I always forget the things I’ve been eyeing up in the past few months.
When I started making my list, I put this Michael Kors handbag on the top of the list. This is a bag that I’ve been wanting for quite some time. Michael Kors is a top of the line brand with super cute things. This is a brand that is comparable to the quality and price of Coach. They have a great selection of handbags, crossbody bags, satchels, totes, clutches, wallets and wristlets, and other accessories.
So what do you think? Am I crazy for making a Christmas list in July?
Can you believe that it’s already Christmas Eve? I am always amazed at how quickly the holiday season seems to fly by.
Each year on Christmas I make eggnog cheesecake. I can’t stand eggnog so I only make it once a year. My family, however, LOVES it and patiently waits for it on Christmas day for dessert. As a Christmas surprise to them, I made TWO eggnog cheesecakes this year. They are going to get one today and one tomorrow and I have a feeling they are going to be thrilled about it!
Here’s the recipe if your family likes this as much as mine does!
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
In a medium bowl combine graham cracker crumbs, 2 tablespoons sugar and butter. Press into the bottom of a 9 inch spring form pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Place on a wire rack to cool.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
In a food processor combine cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, flour and eggnog; process until smooth. Blend in eggs, rum and nutmeg. Pour mixture into cooled crust.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 250 and bake for 45 minutes, or until center of cake is barely firm to the touch. Remove from the oven and immediately loosen cake from rim. Let cake cool completely before removing the rim.
I feel like I’ve been spending more time than ever on Etsy, checking out some of the great homemade and unique custom gifts. The signs on Etsy of course can be given for any occasion, but during this time of the year it’s hard to think of anything but Christmas!
I found this custom family name block sign that has gotten GREAT reviews on Etsy. These are individual letter blocks that are put together to make a name sign. Not only can this be personalized to fit your family name, but it can be created to accommodate the colors in your home that you decorate with. Simply send a picture of the room for which you want the sign to go in and they will coordinate the colors of the sign. The seller then sends you a picture of the blocks for your approval before shipping so that you are 100% satisfied before it ships!
I’m always looking for ways to save space when possible. It’s so easy for the house to get cluttered, especially when you like “stuff” as much as I do. I feel like I’m always finding things online that I want to get because they’re so useful and nifty!
This is why I like this MiniDock for iPods and iPhones. This saves a ton of counter space and helps keep messy-looking cords from getting tangled because it plugs directly into the outlet to allow charging of the device. I really want to get this and think that it would make a great stocking stuffer for some people on my Christmas list.
This comes in three different versions and is available for US, UK, and EU outlets.
I’m sure I’ve told you this before and I’m sure you can tell by some of the things I post, but I seriously love shopping online. I prefer shopping online to shopping in a traditional brick and mortar store because I can avoid the hustle and bustle of customers and employees in the store, avoid the long lines and long waiting times, and avoid the risk of a product bring out of stock when I arrive at the store.
Right now Target is having a huge sale on their toys. If you have kids to buy toys for Christmas for, then I would check this sale out and save some money. It’d also be nice to get some online shopping done now and save money rather than getting trampled by the crowds on Black Friday trying to save some money.
