Wedding season is officially here. I’m super excited! In the past few weeks, I’ve been getting a ton of mail including wedding invitations, bachelorette party invites, and bridal tea party invitations. It’s going to be such a fun summer to be a part of these amazing events.

Bridal tea parties are becoming so popular. I’ve never been to one before, but I now have three invitations hanging on the fridge and will be attending them in the next couple of months. I think this is a great way to spend some quality time with the ladies and prepare for the upcoming wedding.

Now it’s time to start shopping for gifts for these great ladies. One of them is registered at Target, one at Bed Bath & Beyond, and one at Kohl’s. Let the shopping begin!

Perhaps not so much a “Great Gift Anytime” so much as a once in a lifetime proposal to your happily ever after, yet still ornate engagement rings can be a symbol of the greatest gift you soul mate has given you, his heart. Most often considered the greatest gift a person can receive, the symbol of that undying love should be as beautiful as what it represents. Rings are one of the oldest gifts given known to man, because of this long tradition, jewelers have had a chance to develop their skills resulting in more intricate and perfect pieces than ever before. The jewelry design process has came a long way and it will be interesting to watch it continue to develop.

When I see rings so intricate it makes me wonder what is next in store for rings of the future. Will they continue to be more and more intricate while the development process is simplified? The tide always shifts and there will be a trend back to simple basic rings eventually and even at the same time that some people desire the complex ornate engagement rings there will be those who want the traditional solitaire and plain band. There will never be a shortage of choices.

I am going to a wedding next month and I’m so excited! We’re very close friends with both the bride and the groom. It’s going to be such a fun night with good food, dancing, fun times, great music and more. I helped a little bit with the wedding planning and by the sounds of it, the ceremony and reception will be just beautiful!

We want to get them a really nice wedding gift. They have done so much for us in the past that we really want to thank them and give them something that they can use in their new life together as a married couple. The couple registered at Kohl’s. We looked at their registry and decided to get this great Rachael Ray 10-pc. Porcelain Cookware Set.  These are top of the line pots and pans. The cookware is aluminum for even heat distribution and there are silicone grips for easy handling.

I came across a great idea for unique guestbook at a wedding. I love this idea because it is different than the regular signing of the book. This is just my opinion, but what do you do with the guestbook when the event is over? You probably look it over and read it once and then it goes in the storage room or collects dust on a shelf somewhere. This idea involves getting 5 wine bottles and a sharpie marker (silver or gold metallic works best on dark bottles, black works best on light bottles).  Each of the bottles is designated to be opened on the following anniversaries of the couple: one year, five years, ten years, fifteen years, and twenty years. The sharpies and bottles can be set out at the entrance of the wedding ceremony as well as the reception. Guests can pick one bottle to sign and include a message for the couple.

This can be a gift given to the bride at her shower (the wine bottles and the markers) and the couple can use it for their “guestbook.” You can also find places that make custom wine labels and make it personalized to the couple!

Wedding season is here. If you are helping to plan a wedding or you are a bride-to-be or groom-to-be, take note and listen up for this great gift idea. It’s tradition on the night of the rehearsal dinner or groom’s dinner to give each person in your bridal party a gift. It can be hard to come up with something that’s unique, fun, is something that they can use, and won’t break your bank. Weddings are expensive, so you don’t want to go over-budget.
