Summer is just around the corner. We always have such high hopes for summer. We always think “This summer is going to be the best yet, I can feel it!” Then we end up spending the whole time on our couches binge watching Netflix. Trust me I have nothing against Netflix. I could binge watch it all day. And this is fine for rainy days or sick days, but on days when the sun is shining GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE! Especially if you do not work.
It is always harder to do things when you have to work. Especially when you work a job with different hours every day. Then you have to coordinate with your friends to find a time where you can all hang out. But, when the stars align and everyone has an open spot in their schedule do not waste it by sitting on your butts! Here are some fun things to do in the Minneapolis area!
The Walker is awesome. It is a great place for modern art lovers and it is right next to the Sculpture Garden. You know, the famous Spoon Bridge and Cherry? You can find it at the Sculpture Garden. The Sculpture Garden is always free. Walk through their during the day and enjoy the art! The Walker is not always free, but fun fact, it is on Thursday’s after 5:00 pm thanks to Target!
Another fun outdoor activity to do is to go to a Minnesota Twins game! Even if you do not like baseball, the architecture alone is worth the ticket price. Also, they have these awesome Blood Mary’s with cheeseburgers on top! You can get tickets for as cheap as $11.00.
If art and sports do not tickle your fancy, try shopping around Uptown. You could always go to the Mall of America, but that is so over done. Shopping around Uptown gives you the chance to walk outside and visit some great stores. They have an American Apparel, H&M, Heartbreaker, Ragstock, MAC, Victorias Secret, and more!
