Are you as excited for football season as I am? Although I would bet a large amount of money that I’m not excited for the same reasons you are, it’s fast-approaching and I can’t wait! I love tailgating, making delicious game-day snacks and appetizers, hosting our friends over and gossiping with my friends while the guys tune in, and of course a reason to wear my favorite PINK by Victoria’s Secret game-day gear (did you know that they carry a super cute NFL line?).
My guy has been trying to convince me that we “need” a new TV in the living room. Thanks to the GREAT sale at Target right now, I am finally going to give in. This is just in time for football season so I’m going to surprise him! I can’t wait to go pick up the TV and see the look on his face when it’s sitting in the living room.
Can you believe it’s almost September? I feel like summer has flown by! It seems crazy that school is already starting back up again and fall is fast approaching. Just because summer is coming to an end doesn’t mean baseball season is done! The MLB goes into October, with the biggest games of the year: The World Series. Who do you think is going to win it all this fall? Boston, Detroit and Texas are the top three teams in each division with 77 wins, 77 wins, and 75 wins, respectively.
If you know somebody that gets just as excited for baseball as I do, baseball sports cards are the perfect gift for them. They take a hobby of America’s Pastime to a whole new level by bringing players, stats, and even autographs right to the fan! My brother has quite the collection going which makes him super easy to shop for.
Do you need an easy to buy gift that will not cost you an obscene amount? Try sportscards, it is unusual for a person to not enjoy some type of sport that there is a card made for. If this is the case though there may be a significant person in sports that they are fond of. A sports card is a small gift that can mean a lot. They do not take up much space and can be tucked away, put in an album or displayed.
I have started buying some sports cards that have the vintage look but are not as expensive as a very old, rare trading card. My uncles love looking over their cards with me and I like to give them the vintage looking cards for presents. These cards are great for them because as their ages, (90+), there is not anything I can really give them that they need. They really do appreciate the cards though, it reminds them of good times and their younger years. I have a lot of fun reminiscing with my uncles of past tales of getting into mischief, those old guys had some fun in their days and most of it could not be repeated in these times without getting into serious trouble. They always say, “Those were the days.”
I feel like everybody I know is pregnant right now (except for me). It’s a regular old “baby boom” among my friends and family and I can’t wait for all of the little munchkins to arrive! I’ve started shopping for all of the baby showers I know I will be attending in the upcoming months.
I found the perfect diaper bag to give as a gift and I think I will be ordering more than one of these. They are actually Cinda B Handbags and I never would’ve thought to use them as a diaper bag. They are SO roomy and can fit plenty of diapers, bottles, wipes, pacifiers, bibs, and of course an extra outfit or two.
I also love that this is very gender neutral. It can be for a baby girl OR a baby boy. Plus both mom and dad can feel comfortable wearing it around!
With college literally JUST around the corner, if you haven’t gone in to stock up on dorm room or apartment supplies, it’s probably time to get in gear! College classes start for a lot of the schools around my area in just a week from today. Doesn’t it seem crazy that summer is almost over? I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet!
Target, as always, has a ton of amazing dorm or apartment gear from big furniture items like futons (pictured above) to small school supplies like pens, highlighters, post-it notes, and so much more. They have EVERYTHING to furnish an entire place and it is definitely worth it to check out before the big move-in day to school.
Give that grad a great gift to get them going for this new journey. They will appreciate it!
